The Team

Stewart Smith first started racing in 1972, after a break away from the sport for marriage and to start a family he returned to club racing for 2 years before taking up the challenge of the Manx. Bitten by the bug of Road Racing he competed for  a further nine years until a racing accident ended his career.

Just 3 years after his accident, Stewart was again involved in the sport but this time

P1020768 running the Stewart Smith Race team, the team has been running for 17 years and enjoyed supporting a number of riders that include

  • Ronnie Smith with a 2nd place finish in the T.T Race
  • William Dunlop and becoming great friends with his father Robert and his uncle Joey.
  • Ian Lougher, Many wins at Scarborough and the Southern 100

In 2010 Stewart was introduced to Brian Lee of PROCare Ltd who also shared Stewart’s passion and enthusiasm for the sport. With the new support and Ian Lougher onboard Stewart decided to compete in the new Super Twin class.

This season the team is  proud to announce that Dean Harrison will be riding on the super twin bikes and we will endeavor to provide Dean with our full support and comitment.

Pre season testing as  been very encouraging with wins at Cadwell Park and Deans Debut visit to Croft where he also won the super twin races.We are looking forward to the start of the road racing season and confident Dean will do the team proud.
